I've been away for a while I was busy getting married. I had an awesome in China. It was a great trip, but really exhausting.

I'm working on a new site, PixiStar.com.

It's going to be a pixel art community with a heavy focus on dolling. I'm working on the base search engine right now, and I have to say I am really excited, and I think it's going to be great.

I'll post more about the idea later, but right now I need some alpha testers. I have a few girls helping me out but I really want to squash as many bugs as I can, and more help is necessary

If you want to be an alpha tester, leave me a comment, or contact me through my contact form or shoutbox.

New Adoptable Cel Phone Pixel: Palm Pre
Posted: Monday, May 11, 2009

This pixel is supposed to be the Palm Pre

I actually did the non-animated version a while ago. I finally got around to adding the animation

 Hope you like it.

Ink
Posted: Thursday, April 09, 2009

Oh no, this doll spilled her inkwell...Now it's raining ink for some reason. Good thing she has her umbrella.

Plaid pleated skirts are a pixeling nightmare, by the way.

This time, for the hair, I backed off from the high contrast look, but kept the shine and the many partitions. I like how it came out.

My site is two years, two months and two days old today

Created on January 10, 2007. I noticed doing a whois lookup today.

Angel Doll
Posted: Saturday, February 21, 2009

This is a baseless doll for now. I might release the base later, when I get a chance to make some more poses for it.

I wanted to try to make hair in the detailed style that some dollers have been using. I did cheat and tool a bit. The outfit isn't much, and I'm not too happy with the wings. But I do think that I managed to be consistent with the direction that the wind was blowing things.

Some Things
Posted: Saturday, January 31, 2009

I have not really posted much lately, but thanks for being here. I have been very busy with work and life, and not pixeling very much at all.

There are a few things that I've been meaning to get to.

  1. Comments. Thanks for the comments on my posts and pixels. The comments have to be approved before they are posted, so you don't have to post multiple times, I will get to it.

Not all fields are required when you make a comment, but if you don't leave a name and website, and your comment doesn't make any sense, it won't be posted.

My shoutbox hasn't been working since I moved to a new host a year ago. Thanks for your posts, I am not deleting them on purpose.
  2. My tutorials. I wanted to do a different style of tutorial than the low-info, lots of image kind that I see a lot of. Many of those tuts are great for really visual learners, but having only tutorials on how to make a really specific pixel on pixel art sites doesn't encourage creativity.
A lot of you don't like it, that's cool. There is room for all kinds of tutorials.
  3. Other stuff.
I hope that I can start pixeling more soon, but what I really want to do is finish perfecting this blog softaware. It is OK for just me to use, but I would like to let other pixel artists use it for their own blogs. Right now, it is too buggy and terrible for that.

Thanks again for your visit.

Corrupted Carousel is a new board that I started going to after Eden-Enchanted closed. I have not really been active though.

CC has a trend of 'corupted' avatars, and I decided to make one. The character is not really anyone, but I like this avatar (Except for the shoes, which don't show in the 150x200px version that I actually use as an avatar).

The base is Destiny, by myself.

New Adoptable Pixels
Posted: Tuesday, January 01, 2008

Happy new year, everyone!

I know there have been a lot of errors on the site lately. I'm trying to fix them, but I took on too many projects and fell behind again. I'm starting to really hate looking at my current layout, but I know from reading my Google Analytics stats that you guys visit the website for an average of 2-3 minutes. It might not have worn on you yet, like it has for me. And even if it has, I know that you are all way too polite to say anything

I haven't posted for a while, but I have some more tutorials allmost ready to go. When I was writing tutorials, I made these adoptable pixels. They are all kitties, I hope that you enjoy them.

Mew Kitty (Brown) Mew Kitty (White) Mew kitty (Black) Mew Kitty (Pink)

Hello Kitty Pixel (Pink) Hello Kitty Pixel (Blue) Hello Kitty Pixel (Yellow) Teenage Hello Kitty (Blue) Teenage Hello Kitty (Pink)

Click on any one of them to see more info or adopt. You can view or adopt these (or any other pixels marked 'adoptable') from my Pixels section.
